Gisele expresses full support as Tom Brady signs contract extension with Buccaneers

It looks like supermodel Gisele Bundchen has accepted that her husband, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, will play football for at least two more years. Brady, 43, announced his contract extension on his social media. He posted a photo on his page of the signing of a new contract that will keep him with the team until he is 45. He played for the second time in his life and also won his eighth Super Bowl trophy. He accompanied the post with the caption In pursuit of 8…LFG @buccaneers we keep the band together.

Giselle dismissed

Among those who liked Brady’s photo was his wife Gisele, who commented on Go !!!!. with a heart emoji.

Brady previously revealed in an interview on the Late Late Show with James Corden that Gisele had asked for his resignation after the 31-9 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV. Moments after the win, Brady met his family on the field where Giselle asked: What else can you prove? Brady told presenter James Corden that he simply ignored his wife’s question by hugging her and quickly changing the topic of conversation. Brady also said during the interview that Gisele wanted him to have more time for his fatherly duties and housework.

Brady gives $19 million to the Bucs to play with.

According to Jenna Laine of ESPN, Brady signed a four-year contract extension, but it is essentially a one-year deal, as it has two years that can only be waived to spread the cost and reduce the impact on the team’s salary cap.

This move saved the Buccaneers about $19 million in payroll and allowed them to attract other key players who helped them win their first Super Bowl since 2002. According to Kevin Patra of NFL.com, if Brady hadn’t signed a contract extension, he would have charged $28.375 million against the salary cap in 2021. Earlier, Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht said the team was more than willing to sign Brady to a contract extension to maintain success.

Shaq Barrett next?

The Buccaneers have already used the same method to retain linebacker Lavonte David, who signed a five-year contract extension but essentially signed a two-year, $25 million contract due to three years of disability. The Pirates used catcher Chris Godwin, who will remain with the team for another year. Now the focus is on pass rusher Shaquille Barrett, who interestingly said yes to a tweet from The Athletic Brady’s Greg Auman about keeping the group together.

The Buccaneers are also looking to add other impending free agents, including running back Leonard Fournette, defensive end Ndamukong Suh, tight end Rob Gronkowski and wide receiver Antonio Brown. Earlier, former New England Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi said the Buccaneers should contract pass catcher James White to help Brady win two consecutive games.
