mollyfamwatFollowing the announcement of the expansion of the Umbrella Academy program for the third season, Netflix noted that the banner will receive another important update in the form of thematic profile icons. As with previous series such as The Witcher, Marvel’s The Defenders and BoJack Horseman, Netflix users now have access to images of the characters in the series to identify their profiles against other family members such as Vanya, Luther, Diego, Allison, Klaus, Number Five and the Pogo Talking Chimpanzee. All this seems to appear in the next episode, although the involvement of Pogo is still unclear.
The third season of the Umbrella Academy goes into production in Toronto in February. Netflix has confirmed that the stars Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castaneda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, Rita Arya and Colm Fort will reappear in the new role. Steve Blackman returns as show runner and executive producer and is accompanied by other EPs such as Jeff F. King, Mike Richardson, Keith Goldberg, Jesse McCown, Gerard Way and Gabriel Ba.

The previous report on the new season of the series indicated that filming would be completed by August next year (assuming there are no KOVID-19 related delays). In this respect, the calendar of premieres on Netflix contains a small question mark, which means that the third season can only take place in 2022.
In an exclusive interview, the director of the series, Steve Blackman, told us how he’s now trying to bypass the Thrones game as the series overtakes and surpasses the history of the comic book it’s based on. The good news is that Blackman says that, unlike the HBO series, he will never anticipate the comics, so you will never know the story of the series.
First of all, I’m very close to Gerard and Gabriel, so I give them the season before I do it, I let them know what I’m doing, Blackman said. They’re very nice, and they tell me where they’re going in the next parts, and you know, the two media overlap a little at the moment, sometimes they look at something I’m doing and they say we should put it in a comic book, and they say, well, why don’t we put it in an exhibition. We accept that they are different things, but we like it when we can find those intersections. But I have a good idea of where they’re going, I have a good idea of where I’m going, and we’re working together to get to that happy place. But I don’t want to get ahead of them. I like what they do. So when it’s over, let’s hope it’s never over.
Good news for comic book artists Gerard Way and Gabriel Ba – they have plenty of time to release the next part and are already working on it. Earlier it was already confirmed that the fourth part of the comic will be subtitled by the Sparrow Academy, but so far no update of the publication has been proposed.
