The Toronto Raptors travel to the California capital tonight to take on the Kings of Sacramento. It’s time to continue with the NBA odds series and make the prediction and selection of the Raptors-Kings.
The Raptors have a dismal record of 1-6 overall and 1-6 against betting. They are a loss to the Suns in Phoenix.
The Kings are 4-4 overall and against scatter records. The Kings beat the Bulls in their last game.
Here’s how sports predictions determine the odds of success in the first game between the Raptors and Kings.
Paris NBA: Raptor Kings Chance
Toronto Raptors -5 (-110)
Kings of Sacramento +5 (-110)
More than 225.5 points (-110)
less than 225.5 points (-110)
Why kings can cover propagation
CP
The Kings started the season with three impressive wins.
Sacramento beat the Suns in the first four games (which only the Clippers have done since) and beat the Nuggets twice.
De’Aaron Fox leads the Kings’ offense, leading the team in both points (18.4 PPG) and assists (5.6 APG).
But Sacramento is not a one-man show. The team has six players with double-digit point averages, including rookie Tyrese Haliburton, who is an early draft candidate.
Against a Raptors team that have struggled to score all season, that number of goal scorers might have put Toronto out of the running earlier.
The Kings will likely need two of their guys to have productive nights to finish first against a Raptors team that currently sits in fourth place in the championship.
While Sacramento can strike early against Toronto, the Raps didn’t show the firepower needed to get back in the game.
Why Raptors can cover propagation.
Although the Raptors have had a disastrous start to the season, there are a few positives to look forward to.
At first glance, it looks like Toronto star Pascal Siakam turned the tide in the last game against the Suns after a rough start to the season.
Shockingly, in the Raptors’ first six games, Siakam didn’t score more than 22 points and didn’t make more than 50 percent from the field. Against Phoenix, he broke both scores, scoring 32 points and hitting 11 of 21 from the field.
With the departure of Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka, Toronto desperately needs Siakam to get back into All-Star form. The team has some appearances from Fred VanVleet and Kyle Lowry, but it is unrealistic to expect them to lead the team offensively on their own.
The good news for the Raptors is that the Kings’ defense isn’t completely shut down. You got a six. He gave up second place in the league and allowed two goals on the field.
If Toronto’s punitive laws apply to anyone, it will be Sacramento.
Prediction and selection of the last raptor kings
The Raptors desperately need a win. I don’t see Nick Sister and Company falling 1-7, especially against a Kings team that didn’t really impress. Expect Siakam to play their last game and the Raptors to be offensive enough to get the job done in Sacramento. Toronto takes the win and covers for the second time this season.
