Will a European country win the 2022 FIFA World Cup?

WIth the 2022 FIFA World Cup right around the corner, there will be many that will already be looking forward to this year’s edition of the competition.

Indeed, with the action set to take place in Qatar this winter between November and December, there will be many pondering about who they think could be victors at the end of the world’s biggest sporting events and lifting the golden prize at the end of it.

For some, the FIFA World Cup continues to provide them with an opportunity to enjoy the very best bets that can be made from the sites available at Casinogenie.org, whilst also partaking in a number of classic casino games to help keep things as exciting as possible.

When you take a look at the available odds at the moment, it would seem as though Brazil are the favorites to win the competition, with the world’s No. 1 ranked side being predicted to finally end a two-decade drought and reclaim the title that they last won in 2002.

However, the 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2018 titles have each been won by a European country, so will Europe add another FIFA World Cup to their collection this winter?

France is best positioned to do it for Europe

Of course, France was the winner of the last FIFA World Cup when it was played in 2018 in Russia after they defeated Croatia 4-2 in the Final, and many are suggesting that Les Bleus could be best positioned to retain their status as World Champions this winter, too.

Indeed, it would not be a real surprise if they were able to, given the squad that they have available to them, with Didier Deschamps able to choose from a national pool of riches even some of the biggest countries would be envious of.

Despite the talent that he has at his beck and call, there is no denying that winning the FIFA World Cup back-to-back is one of the hardest things to do. Only Italy (1934 and 1938) and Brazil (1958 and 1962) have been able to achieve this feat.

Who else could win the competition for Europe?

When looking aside from France, there will be many that will speculate that England perhaps has one of the better chances to win the FIFA World Cup in 2022 as a European nation. The Three Lions managed to reach the UEFA European Championships Final last summer before being defeated by Italy on penalties, and with the Azzurri not featuring in Qatar, some believe Gareth Southgate’s men can reach the Final this time after being defeated in the semi’s last time around.

Germany, Spain, and Belgium are perhaps the other teams that many will be considering, too, although it could be argued that the squads they boast – despite how talented they are – are not quite as strong as France or England, nor are they perhaps as talented as the one that Brazil can boast ahead of the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup.

It will be a very interesting and entertaining tournament, nonetheless, and whoever wins will likely deserve to do so!
