Jackson-Elmoore stated, “I am honored to have been chosen for this award and to be recognized with my colleagues — with whom I have been privileged to serve alongside and whose combined accomplishments to the profession and the organization I really admire.” “It has been a joy to be involved in urban studies throughout my academic career, and I value the UAA’s contributions to the subject.

“It has been a joy to hear about the teaching, learning, research, and outreach done by professors, staff, and students at Cal Poly, which has significant implications for solving urban problems and impacts a variety of communities.”
