The Los Angeles Lakers are this year’s NBA favorites. They have the best player in the world in LeBron James and the best big man in the world in Anthony Davis. With purple and gold after the NBA championship in 2020, they have all the momentum in the world. Not to mention that they currently have the best record in the Western Conference.

But the NBA is unpredictable, as injuries or droughts can affect any team, including the Lakers. That means they will have to do everything they can to get a third star to outlast the 34-year-old LeBron James and the injured Anthony Davis. Here are the five stars the Lakers can earn to guarantee an NBA title this season.

5. C.J. McCollum.

His style of play fits perfectly with Los Angeles, and he is the perfect star to play alongside LeBron and Davis. LaVine has already stated that his dream teammate is LeBron James. LaVine in Los Angeles would therefore be a dream scenario for the young Bull and for the entire Los Angeles Lakers franchise. LaVine is on another level this year, and his PPG of 27.7 exemplifies what he has to offer as one of the top scorers in the NBA.
