John Collins, a free agent after the 2020-21 NBA season, and the Atlanta Hawks were unable to agree to a contract extension this offseason. According to a recent report, the Hawks Collins offered a deal worth about $90 million.
On Friday, it was reported that Collins is unhappy with the Hawks’ offense because he thinks it’s too much about leader Trey Young. Let’s connect the dots: The Collins exchange is possible. Oklahoma City Thunder

From the Hawks’ perspective, they get two old first-round picks in Jackson, a respectable defender, and Jerome, a long and skilled playmaker. But perhaps the biggest blow for them is the choice of design for 2021, because the beginner’s class should be much better than last year.

The Hawks are acquiring: Javale McGee, Kevin Porter Jr. is a first-round choice in 2022 and a second-round choice in 2023.
