The markets opened for trading in the US at 9:30 a.m. EDT (1330 GMT) on Friday, July 20. The Dow Jones industrial average and the Nasdaq 100 were flat to slightly lower in early trading.

F -0.13% Shares rose 2.6 percent in trading, extending gains from the previous day, after the automaker reported total U.S. sales rose 4.1 percent to 161,725 vehicles in May, with higher sales of SUVs and electrified vehicles offsetting lower truck and car sales.
