They are in a very good position going into the 2021 NFL season. In this draft, they don’t have many immediate needs. What they need most is help on the defensive side of the ball. Some would say not to worry about contracting Jadeveon Clowney so soon. But at this stage of the draft, with a talent like Jason Ou still on the roster, this is a perfect matchup for the Browns.

Speed is the name of the game in the modern NFL, and Oweh has had enough. It’s hard to teach speed. With his speed and power, he will be able to outsmart tight ends in the corner very quickly. Since he also has very good length and reach, he can disrupt the game from inside or outside. This is all due to the fact that he has the fastest hips in the class, which also helps him wrestle in general.

All of these tools help him move around the field with ease. He doesn’t just come out of the corner. He is capable of moving on the line and causing problems. This defense would be perfect for him to learn behind the two best players at his position, Myles Garrett and Clowney. He could learn more next year and take over the starting job in 2022. It may seem crazy to take a player at this position just to learn, but it will help this defense in the long run.
Vulnerabilities
Ouch’s main problem is simple, he’s inexperienced. He didn’t start playing football until his junior year of high school. Some won’t think too much of it, as he was still a top 100 recruit in college. He’s just a bit cheap and doesn’t have the time to rise to the top that others before him did.
One of the problems that can be seen in his game is his slow reaction to the whistle blowing the ball. This should improve with experience, but could cause serious problems early in his NFL career. Most of his current problems have more to do with reading and reacting to what is happening or might happen, than with his raw abilities. If the right personnel are willing to help him with his teammates, he could become a solid player in the league. If not, he can only be an afterthought on the team.
Final thoughts
It would have been a smart move by the Browns if he was there. Teams still need depth at the top of the rim. Clowney is only under contract for this season, which he ended early last season due to injury. So now Brown has to build a defense with a player who can learn a lot from his teammates and the excellent personnel around him.
Speed is hard to come by at this point, and the rest is easier to manage. Oweh is the perfect prototype for today’s NFL, and his skills could make him a Pro Bowl type player if the right personnel coach him to correct his weaknesses. Cleveland would not be disappointed with this pick.
