Avery Bradley defends the celebration of youth.

Once again the Los Angeles Lakers were active at the trade deadline, and once again they failed to make a move. The team went for Kyle Lowry at the eleventh hour, but couldn’t pay Toronto’s high price. With LeBron James and Anthony Davis expected to be out for a while, the Lakers should certainly add to their roster in the acquisition market.

Fortunately, they have some good options, including a familiar face. Avery Bradley signed with the Miami Heat in the postseason, but was traded to the Houston Rockets at the deadline. With Victor Olapido gone, the Rockets may have the worst team in the NBA. This will likely result in a buyout of Bradley.

According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, the veteran could be a name the Lakers will pursue.

A name to keep an eye on as the Lakers look to fill their remaining spots on the roster: Avery Bradley. Today he was traded from MIA to HOU. The Rockets already have a lot of guards to back up John Wall. Bradley, a former Pelinka client, made a strong impression at LAL before dropping the bubble.

Bradley was a part of the team all of last season, starting at fullback in 44 games. He chose to stay in the NBA bubble and did not make the championship team. Now he has a chance to come back to Los Angeles.

Bradley would be a good choice for.

Bradley would be a great asset to the Lakers. He was named to the All-NBA defensive team twice during his career. Head coach Frank Vogel is focusing on defense above all else. But the Lakers don’t need help on the defensive end.

More than anything, they need the shooting. Fortunately, Bradley is an excellent three-point shooter. He shot 42.1% beyond the arc for Miami. He also has a 36.5 percent 3-point shooter. That number isn’t elite, but it’s good enough to help the Lakers.

With LeBron missing a few weeks, the team could use a strong defender on the wing. Bradley also knows the team very well, having spent most of last season with them.

Bradley wanted to return to the Lakers

Although Bradley played for a championship ring with the Lakers last season, he was not part of the team when they won the title. He recently complained about not being able to be there at the end of last season. He also said he would like to return to the team.

Of course you want them back, Bradley said in January on the Chris Haynes podcast, after they won the championship and I wasn’t there to witness it with them, I want to have that feeling with the guys and the organization that I was able to build that bond with and that special race. Even though I knew we could lose someone, I still wanted to feel like I was playing with this core group of guys I’ve struggled with all year. It was difficult. I thought I’d come back.

Well, now Bradley might have a chance to come back. Right now, things are not looking good for the Lakers, but once Davis and LeBron return, they will dominate again. Los Angeles still has a very good chance of winning another championship. Bradley may want to come back and fight for the championship this year.
