TEMPLETON – Ike’s Love & Sandwiches, a restaurant with hundreds of iconic sandwiches on its menu, has officially opened in Templeton. The 15th. In June, Ike’s kicks off a week of festivities with a fundraiser and grand opening celebration. The event is hosted by the man himself, the myth and sandwich wizard – Ike Shehade – the founder of the company and the face behind the brand. The beloved Sandwich Empire is now open to the public at 1121 Rossi Rd, Unit B, Templeton, CA 93465. Opening hours: 10.00 to 21.30, daily. Opening ceremonies begin with a fundraiser for the Templeton Recreation Foundation on Tuesday, June 15, from 5:00 to 9:30 p.m. All sales from orders taken at the store that evening will be donated to a non-profit organization that promotes the health of Templeton residents through recreational activities. The main event will take place on Thursday, June 17. The first 50 people in line get a free sandwich of their choice, an exclusive Ike’s Templeton t-shirt and enter a drawing to win free sandwiches all year long. Sandwiches will be available all day for only $6 (no more than 2 per order). Ike will attend the meeting and have his picture taken for the new mural Ike’s Loves Templeton. Each new Ike’s location features a selection of exclusive sandwiches, cleverly named after local icons and only available at select locations. In Templeton, Ike Brand offers Walsh, a steak sandwich with garlic-tomato pesto and provolone cheese, and a vegetarian version called the Laff Box with breaded eggplant instead of steak.
