mollyfamwatDolly Parton is going home for the holidays. The CBS Television Network has announced that the legendary singer and actress will be filmed in a new Christmas special next month. The one-hour special, titled Holly Dolly Christmas, will be aired on Sunday, June 6. December, broadcast on CBS and its streaming service CBS All Access. According to the press release, at the end of this difficult year Mr Parton will give an intimate candlelit light show, with much-needed joy and a festive atmosphere.

Last month she released her first holiday album in 30 years, also known as Holly Dolly Christmas. This is their third Christmas album after their previous albums Once Upon a Christmas with Kenny Rogers and Home for Christmas. The new album includes performances by other stars such as Miley Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus, Willie Nelson, Jimmy Fallon and Michael Buble.
In the meantime, Parton will also be shown in a new Christmas movie for Netflix, which will be released in streaming at the end of the month. He is called Christmas on the Square, the movie star Parton, as an angel who accompanies the town of Scrooge (Christina Baranski) on her musical journey of redemption on Christmas Eve.
