Spirit Airlines Announces Extra Florida Routes

Spirit Airlines is in the news again, after boosting their routes in Florida and adding new destinations to their fleet.

Spirit Airlines has announced it will be adding three new routes between Florida and Puerto Rico. This expansion will greatly benefit Puerto Ricans who can now fly to Florida without having to cross a foreign border. Spirit Airlines is the only U.S. carrier to serve the Caribbean island, but it has seen its service slashed by Hurricane Maria. The flights will be operated by a combination of a fleet of 767s, 757s, and 737s.

Spirit Airlines is offering three new non-stop routes to Florida from Boston, Denver and Los Angeles.

The celebration got even better with the announcement of two new non-stop routes between the city of Derby, Tampa (TPA) and Fort Myers (RSW) on Florida’s Gulf Coast starting this fall.
