While this award has never received as much media attention as the MVP award, the 6th Man of the Year award generates a lot of interest in sportsbooks, further increasing the chances of the NBA’s 6th Man of the Year in 2021.
Montrezl Harrell won the award in 2019-20, beating out his future Los Angeles Lakers teammate Dennis Schroeder and Los Angeles Clippers teammate Lou Williams.
Harrell, Schroeder and Williams were the only players to receive votes in the first round.
Prior to the 2020-21 season, only two of the top three spots in the standings still have a chance to win.

Schroeder is no longer on the table after expressing his desire to start with the Lakers, but it remains to be seen if the Purple and Gold will sign him.
Jordan Clarkson (+600), Danilo Gallinari (+700), Goran Dragic (+800) and Serge Ibaka (+900) are among the top five candidates for the season.
