Do you believe Zack Moss will continue to be a significant contributor?

On Mac Jones, yes. Nothing should stop Meyers from catching six to eight passes each week in the future. Meyers is the team’s most consistent offensive player, and he has a better chance of being engaged since he plays nearly every snap (95.1 percent). Jamison Crowder had nine targets in his first game. Is he, rather than Corey Davis, the clear-cut volume option in this offense going forward?
In terms of fantasy football, Davis is the WR1. There’s no change there. Crowder, on the other hand, will be a solid bet against the Falcons on Sunday. Murray has unquestionably taken over as the starting running back, but it’s a stretch to expect him to receive more than 15 carries in the future. 10 to 15 carries is the most probable scenario. The Ravens have been hesitant to commit to a running back rotation, and they will continue to share runs amongst two to three different backs. After missing last week’s game, Ty’Son Williams may return to the lineup. When asked whether he had more clarity on the running back position this week, Ravens coach John Harbaugh said, “The point is that they can all play. It’s difficult to pick against Ja’Marr Chase right now. So far, his ability to make huge plays and his connection with quarterback Joe Burrow have been obvious. Is WR Odell Beckham Jr. capable of becoming a regular contributor in a run-first offense?
Yes. All he and Baker Mayfield have to do now is connect on the possibilities that are there in front of them. The most egregious example is Minnesota’s fourth-quarter mistake, which would have resulted in a game-winning touchdown bomb. OBJ’s output is being held down by communications problems. Last season, Smith-Schuster was a safety net for Ben Roethlisberger, and their bond was a major reason Smith-Schuster returned to Pittsburgh for a second season. However, Roethlisberger missed Smith-Schuster on a few throws against the Packers, and he’s tied for fourth on the team with Diontae Johnson, Chase Claypool, and Najee Harris in terms of targets. Who do you think will lead this backfield in touches as the season progresses?
Mark Ingram II is the son of Mark Ingram. Coach David Culley said this week that the club would not abandon its running-back-by-committee strategy. “We believe they all have a place back there,” Culley added. “… All three of those players can assist us offensively in various ways.” Even if Ingram takes the lead, as he has for much of the season, he’ll still have to share runs with Phillip Lindsay and David Johnson, making him difficult to trust as a fantasy starter. Can Mo Alie-Cox be the dependable tight end for the fantasy world, or are the two touchdowns last week nothing to get excited about?
The tight ends for the Indianapolis Colts each have a distinct role in the offense. In the passing game, Jack Doyle is the greatest blocker who also serves as a safety net underneath. Alie-Cox is a red zone target because he can go up and grab the ball against lesser players because to his college basketball abilities. With DJ Chark Jr. out, was WR Marvin Jones Jr.’s underwhelming Week 4 performance cause for concern or just a blip on the radar?
Due to the loss of Chark, the Bengals were able to focus almost entirely on stopping Jones last week, and other defenses will continue to do so until someone else emerges. As the Jaguars attempt to replace Chark, Tavon Austin and Jamal Agnew will see more action, but they aren’t the same deep threats he was. Until Jerry Jeudy returns from an ankle injury sustained in the season opener, it’ll be Sutton by the tiniest of margins, particularly if the Broncos continue to use their two-tight-end looks that they’ve used so often in their first three games. Over the last three games, Sutton and Fant have shared the targets about 50-50. (25-19 in favor of Sutton, but with 12 of those coming in Week 2 when the Jaguars inexplicably kept playing man-to-man on him without much of an answer). Is Darrel Williams a danger to Clyde Edwards-point Helaire’s total?
Not on a regular basis, at least. Williams is liked by the Chiefs in all circumstances, especially on third downs, so he’ll continue to see action, although less often some weeks than others. After dominating the work on Monday Night Football, is it safe to declare Josh Jacobs is the obvious RB1?
Then there’s more. I’m not sure if there was any question last week, given that he was on the field despite a painful ankle, but it’s clear today that Peyton Barber missed practice Wednesday due to a toe injury. Jalen Richard, who is renowned for his pass-catching out of the backfield, may be reinstated off injured reserve for the Bears game, and although his pass-blocking is underappreciated, it would be highly valued with such a battered and in-flux offensive line. On Monday night, the volume for WR Mike Williams vanished. Should we make a note of it or classify it as an outlier?
Outlier. Teams won’t double him as the Raiders did, particularly because Justin Herbert has proven that even when Williams is doubled, he can still be successful. He’s much too large and powerful. Expect him to take command against the Browns and produce at a level similar to what he did in the first three weeks of the season. Shelley Smith says:

Is there any cause to be concerned about WR CeeDee Lamb?
Why not? The Cowboys’ offense will operate in this manner. It isn’t simply designed to run. It isn’t simply built to get by. Because it can accomplish a little bit of everything, certain statistics may suffer on a weekly basis. Dak The Cowboys, according to Prescott, have a “no ego” offensive. Lamb isn’t going to say anything. Amari Cooper isn’t about to whine. There will be weeks when he performs very well. Kenny Golladay and Daniel Jones seem to be building chemistry. Will he be able to reclaim his Detroit form?
Yes. For Golladay, it was just a matter of time. He’s a fantastic player when he’s on the court. He wasn’t feeling well early in the season, which was a concern. With a hamstring injury that kept him out much of the summer, it’s no wonder that Golladay got off to a poor start this season. Then he had to cope with a hip issue. Is there any reason to believe Miles Sanders will bounce back?
Yes. The Eagles have realized that nine carries in two games is insufficient. Starting this week against Carolina, expect a deliberate attempt to get him more engaged. Kenneth Gainwell, a rookie, has earned a larger role, but Sanders remains the starting running back for the time being and will have plenty of opportunities to show he merits it. Tim McManus, Ph.D.
What were your thoughts on WR Curtis Samuel’s debut, and can we expect a big weekend from him?
His debut was satisfactory (four catches, 19 yards). On several shorter throws, such as bubbles, screens, and a pivot route, he was able to help. He was restricted to 22 plays, but that number will rise, and I expect it to rise much more against New Orleans on Sunday. With Logan Thomas out for the season with a hamstring ailment and receiver Dyami Brown dealing with a knee injury, Washington will rely on Samuel to step up (who did not practice Wednesday because of his groin). It lined him up all over the field, sometimes out of motion in the backfield, in the slot, and on the outside. With his cuts, he seemed rusty at times; maybe they won’t be as crisp as they will be when he plays more. However, we got a sneak peek at how he’ll be utilized. Darnell Mooney, wide receiver (five receptions for 125 yards): Is he a one-hit wonder or a portent of things to come?
A foreshadowing of things to come. Mooney possesses exceptional speed and put up respectable statistics as a rookie last season. Expect the Bears to use Mooney more now that Justin Fields has been named the regular starter at quarterback. Is Jamaal Williams expected to continue to lead this squad in carries?
No. Although Williams is capable of bearing the burden, especially in third-and-short situations, Lions coach Dan Campbell has said that he wants D’Andre Swift to contribute not just as a runner but also as a receiver. He is the most senior member of the team. Williams, unlike Swift, hasn’t had to cope with a lingering groin issue. Swift has had to keep a close eye on his health, which has allowed Williams, who has been a pillar for the team, to shine. Which Week 4 performance, Randall Cobb or AJ Dillon, is the more indicative of future results?
Cobb in the near term, since Aaron Rodgers will be without a starting receiver for at least two more games (Marquez Valdes-Scantling). Cobb, a slot receiver, is a very different type of weapon than MVS, who is a deep danger, but his significance to the Packers was evident last week against the Steelers. On third down, Cobb had four of his five receptions and one of his two touchdowns. Six of his nine catches have occurred on third down this season, and all of them have been converted to first downs. Will the Vikings try to limit RB Dalvin Cook’s touches because of his failure to finish games?
Cook acknowledged that his ankle isn’t 100 percent, but he intends to continue playing since his condition isn’t getting any worse. Is Cordarrelle Patterson a danger to dethrone Mike Davis as the starting running back, or will he be kept in his present position?
Patterson becoming a lead back is difficult to see since their styles, as well as how they are utilized, are so unlike. Davis is likely to keep his job, but if his performance continues to be erratic, he may lose carries to Wayne Gallman or Patterson. Patterson’s role as a part-time rusher/part-time receiver will continue to be crucial in Atlanta’s system, but Davis remains the team’s primary back. Michael Rothstein is a writer and producer.
Do you think WR Robby Anderson’s streak of empty targets will come to an end, or can we rely on him in this Sam Darnold offense?
It’s not like the Panthers didn’t attempt to get the ball to Anderson in their game against the Cowboys. He was targeted 11 times, but only five of them were caught for 46 yards. Anderson must now make the most of his chances, which may be limited if Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) recovers. McCaffrey is classified as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Eagles. How has Alvin Kamara’s role changed this season, and will we ever see the pass-game volume we used to get?
We can’t anticipate another 80-catch season from him, since he just has 10 after four games. But things will improve from last week, when Kamara set a career best with 26 carries and zero targets. Some of his use has changed because Jameis Winston does not throw to backs as often as Drew Brees did, and some has changed because the Saints’ total passing volume has decreased as they rely more on their run game and defense. But it’s also been a combination of unusual game scripts (three double-digit leads in the second half so far), the loss to backup RB Tony Jones Jr. last week, and the absence of additional threats for defenses to worry about while WRs Michael Thomas and Tre’Quan Smith are out. Can we rely on RB Leonard Fournette to carry the ball 15 times each week?
That sounds plausible, but coach Bruce Arians has yet to say if he would start over Ronald Jones II or vice versa. Still, it’s been obvious since last playoffs that Fournette shows up in big games and has Tom Brady’s trust — two of the most essential things in this offense — and the Bucs have recommitted to rushing the ball as the offense has cooled lately. Chase Edmonds has had a good season thus far but has yet to score: Is this by purpose, given how well James Conner performs up close?
Yes, in a nutshell. Because he is larger than Edmonds, who has become more of a part of the Cardinals’ receiving game than Conner, Conner has established himself as the short-yardage, low-red-zone running back option. Was Robert Woods’ strong game (12 receptions, 150 yards) a harbinger of things to come or just a one-week squeaky wheel?
Perhaps a combination of the two. Given their abundance of playmakers, the Rams want to spread the ball about, but there was a strong focus on getting the ball to Woods on Thursday night. Woods had started a discussion with coach Sean McVay throughout the week to explore how he might become more involved. With Woods and Matthew Stafford developing a strong game-time connection, expect him to be more engaged in the passing game in the future, but they’ll still rely on his desire to block and work as a team player to get the offense going. Trey Burton, quarterback Lance’s relationship with WR Deebo Samuel is exceptional: Is this a case of overreaction or of being ahead of the game?
Anyone throwing to Samuel looks like an exceptional connection the way he has been rolling the first four weeks, so it’s probably an overreaction. The fact that Samuel seems capable of contributing at a high level regardless of who is playing quarterback is a positive indication for those who have him on their team. But there’s one thing to keep an eye on once Lance gets his chance: With Lance at center, the Niners will be more inclined to take long shots. Big plays can minimize the dangers that come with more methodical drives, and his arm is better than Jimmy Garoppolo’s. Samuel’s ability to run deeper routes has improved, so he may continue to profit if and when Lance steps in. Nick Wagoner is a writer.
With Russell Wilson gone for at least a month, can this offense maintain several competent receivers?
It’ll be difficult. Deep passes account for a large portion of Seattle’s passing game, and therefore its receivers’ fantasy output. Wilson may be one of the league’s best backup quarterbacks, but no one throws a deep ball like Geno Smith. If Smith takes over, tight end Gerald Everett may become a bigger influence in the center of the field than he was before he was placed on COVID-19 reserve for the past two games.
