Raisel Iglesias (6-4) was tagged with his fourth blown save in 24 tries after being called with a runner on first base for what would’ve been a six-out save.

Jeffers, who hit three home runs, hit a grounder to left field. The Angels’ unraveling continued when Juan Lagares’ throw home to attempt to catch Miguel Sanó went far off the mark, and Suzuki misfired to third to try to get Gordon, who raced in for the lead.

OF The Twins summoned Brent Rooker from Triple-A St. Paul to replace Nelson Cruz, who was traded to Tampa Bay. Rooker is tied for the Triple-A lead with 19 home runs. Cruz’s regular DH position was taken by Rooker.

Manager Rocco Baldelli said, “The lineup is going to look a little different every day, so he may find himself out there against lefties and righties as well.”

Baldelli said, “We do want him to have a complete, healthy offseason, and that’s the objective so he can go into spring training at full speed.”
