SuchArt is a new game from the creators of the popular Art Academy series. It’s an art simulation game that challenges players to create their own masterpieces in a variety of styles. In this review, we’ll tell you what it’s all about and whether or not it’s worth your time.

SuchArt is a new game that has been developed by the developers of Tetris. The game is available on PC, Mac, and Linux.

Have you ever wished to be a creative person? Have you come up with an idea that you know you could create if you had the proper tools? Are you desperate to realize your creative potential but can’t afford your own art studio or materials? With SuchArt: Genius Artist Simulator, you can finally let out all of your frustrations. You may live the life of a real artist and create the art of your dreams in a digital environment for just $19.99.

What is SuchArt: Genius Artist Simulator, and how does it work?

This is a sandbox artist simulation game called SuchArt: Genius Artist Simulator. It was created by a single guy, Vincent “Voolgi” Delannoy, who I believe is a genius in his own right. This is his first complete game, and HypeTrain Digital is releasing it. While this is his first complete game, there is a shorter, free version of SuchArt called Creative Space that may be used as a trial run for the full game.

You are granted a high-tech art studio — in space – where you have access to a variety of fancy devices in the game’s narrative mode. You’re a brilliant artist, at least according to a required DNA test. One thing is certain, whether or not the findings were correct. This is your current situation. You’re an artist in the year 2130, in space.

As a brilliant artist, you will be commissioned by customers from all around the world. You are free to accept their requests and create artwork according to their requirements. You also have the option of not doing so. In fact, you are free to disregard all of your customers’ commissions and do anything you choose. Your creative goals will not be thwarted by SuchArt: Genius Artist Simulator. You have complete freedom to create anything you want, whenever you want.

Gameplay

It’s like playing Half-Life 2 or Portal 2 with artworks when you play SuchArt: Genius Artist Simulator. We wouldn’t be shocked if this game had a VR mode. It lends itself well to such controls, allowing you to pick up objects with the press of a button and drop or toss them anytime you choose. You may have many things in your inventory that you can pull up anytime you need them in your studio.

When it comes to items you’ll need, your painting studio on this space station has enough of them. To name a few, there’s a high-tech color selector that lets you make spraypaint and paint in any color, a physical eyedropper tool that lets you get the exact hex code of anything you point it at, and a canvas-generating machine that also serves as a sort of holder that you can use to turn the canvas around. There has clearly been a lot of care and work put into providing you with all of the tools you’ll need in the game. Voolgi obviously knows the kind of tools that artists in our world wish they had — and that they may now have in the digital age.

Story

Different game modes are available in SuchArt: Genius Artist Simulator, based on your preferences. You may just pick up the game’s sandbox “Creative Mode” if you just want to create art to your heart’s content. You may work on commissions to gain fame and money, which you can use to purchase new tools and equipment for your workshop, or you can play through the game’s “Story Mode” to find out why you’re out in space in the first place. Finally, there’s a “Fast Forward Mode” that allows you to go through the narrative faster than normal while gaining more fame and money.

In Story Mode, you go about your day as an artist by accepting various assignments from your computer. You succeed in earning money and reputation, which provides you with additional instruments to create better artwork and more requests for commissions from other people. These, coupled with a diary that provides a checklist of things to accomplish, give your Story Mode experience some direction.

The tale is presented entirely via emails that you get through your computer. You get email updates from your handlers, as well as information from your sister, in addition to commissions. The narrative of the game develops slowly, and you may choose to ignore it. The game’s narrative, on the other hand, piqued my interest. I wasn’t expecting top-tier narrative from a game ostensibly aimed towards artists. Voolgi’s creative imagination, however, was not limited to the visual realm. Although it is unlikely to sell any volumes, the storyline of SuchArt is intriguing and fascinating to say the least.

Graphics

To make up for missing her birthday, I created this unicorn artwork for my beloved sister.

The visuals in this game are stunning. You can expect the visuals to deliver when it comes to your artwork, despite the game’s overall art style being soft and round-edged. The color accuracy of the game is astounding. There’s also enough pixel density on your canvas for you to create complex artworks, allowing for extremely detailed work. Even if you simply screenshot them using Steam’s own screenshot feature, whatever artwork you create in this game will be Instagram-worthy.

In terms of art direction, it’s extremely innocent and unobtrusive. It’s bright and vivid, but I don’t think any of the models or characters will blow you away. It’s functional, but not in a terrible manner. We believe that the design is the ideal medium for a game like SuchArt, since a more realistic approach would not be appropriate. With that stated, the game’s art direction is adequate for the task at hand, but it isn’t exactly pushing the limits of gaming in terms of visuals.

Sound Design and Music

I’ll tell it how it is. I don’t like for SuchArt’s music, so I shut it off after just a few minutes. It was perhaps the greatest concept I had (let’s face it, my art ideas aren’t likely to blow anyone’s mind.) I was able to appreciate the peaceful pleasure of having a quiet painting studio all to myself without listening to music. It also allows me to appreciate the game’s sound design more. Everything you do receives auditory feedback that corresponds to your actions. The sound design is spot-on for how these things should sound in real life, and it deserves recognition.

Accessibility

Of course, your mileage in this game will vary based on your level of creative ability. Thankfully, the game’s community is very helpful and encouraging. There are many instructions available on Steam to assist you in getting started with the game. There are also tutorials on YouTube that may assist you improve your creative abilities while playing this game.

You may struggle with the game’s controls as well. I, for one, am unable to create drawings digitally in the same way that I am able to do on paper. Thankfully, the game allows you to choose from a variety of control choices. You may play with a mouse and keyboard, or you can connect a gamepad and utilize dual-stick controls. Personally, I prefer the mouse and keyboard arrangement, but it’s nice to know that there are other alternatives available.

In terms of accessibility, SuchArt provides a variety of color-blind options. I can’t attempt it since I don’t have that condition in the first place. However, Voolgi clearly thinks that color blindness should not prevent you from making art. Voolgi, thank you for believing in all of us.

Finally, There is a Streamer Mode in SuchArt. Toggling this will provide you piece of mind that playing the game will not result in the demonetization of your content.

Is It Worth Your Time and Money to Play SuchArt: Genius Artist Simulator?

SuchArt is a real instrument for honing your creative abilities, in addition to being a video game. The whole is more than the sum of its parts in this game. The game is enjoyable and pleasant to play as a whole. Whether you take the game seriously or simply play about in your studio, it provides a wonderfully relaxing experience that allows you to disconnect from reality. SuchArt: Genius Artist Simulator is for you if you’ve ever dreamed about having your own studio with all the tools you need to create the art of your dreams.
